This has been going on a while now, by most accounts. Longer than any of us would care to admit or remember. Which is just as well, because it's also been longer than any of us *can* remember, and we wouldn't care to admit that either. It's been a long, long time. But I can still remember that feeling- that something was happening, that the 70s were gonna be our decade; it really seemed that way after the way '68 and '69 went down. But that wave didn't break our way and we washed up sputtering on the sand and broken shells of the 80s. Took 'til '91 to kick those coke habits, and by then we were in Iraq and that was no time to get to it, you know? We thought we'd wait that out, but we gave up in '10 and put it all together. Hope and change, you know? Anyway, it's been a trip. And I do go on, don't I? Oh, but yeah, we're fine, and we're looking for Merkel and we'll be back next year as long as we find him and the arthritis isn't acting up too bad.
